Hello Everyone, we are so excited to get our 14th season started! We are currently painting
and primping getting ready for classes to begin September 12th! Recital Videos were sent
out this week so keep your eyes open in the mail. If you didn't order one but would like to
please contact Video Assurance at 541-4545. It was exciting to watch the show - we are all
so proud of all of our girls and the outstanding job they did at the recital! We look forward to
seeing our old students as well as meeting all of our new ones! Get ready for a great year!
Tuition Payment #1 Due Now - Payment 1 of 9 is due by Tuesday, September 1st.
Payments can be mailed to: The Medway Dance Authority P.O. Box 150 Medway, Ma 02053.
Payments may also be dropped off at the studio under the door at the right hand side of the building.
We will be in the studio Sunday evening from 6:45 - 7:45 and Monday from 6:45 - 7:45 if you prefer.
Late payments are subject to a $10.00 late fee.
Please Do Not Wear Dance Shoes - Just a reminder not to let children wear their new dance shoes until
their instructor checks them the first week. We will double check color, style & fit at the first class. Please
keep all packaging & receipts incase they need to be exchanged.
Hair - Just a reminder that all students KinderDance - Advanced must have hair pulled back securly into a
ponytail, bun, braids, etc. for all classes. Please slick it back so hair doesn't become a distraction in class
and so that it does not get into their eyes. Please use elastics, bobby pins, etc. Headbands may be used in
addition to having a ponytail, etc. - but not alone. Preschool students must have hair pulled back off the
face.
Holidays - Please check with the studio regarding all studio closings. We generally do not follow all the
school closings. We will send home a notice and handbook with the studio closings when you come to the
first week of classes. There will be no studio closings for holidays in September.
Christmas Show Sign Ups - Just a reminder that Christmas Show sign ups are Saturday, September
19th for KinderDance - Advanced. Dance Production students & Assistants will all participate in the
Christmas Show but do NOT attend sign ups. Please check the website at medwaydanceauthority.com for
details.
Dress Code: Students must be in proper dress code for every class. All students must wear a black
leotard, proper tights, proper shoes, etc. Shirts of any kind are not allowed in class and must be removed
before entering the room (with the exception of wrap dance sweaters) Black dance shorts or black form
fitting dance pants may be worn in tap, jazz and hip hop, but not ballet. Sheer ballet skirts may be worn in
any class.
Ballet Bucks - A big thank you to those of you who have participated so far in our Ballet Bucks referral
program. Many of you have already received $25 in Ballet Bucks for referring a new family to be used
toward tuition, dancewear, costumes, etc. If you refer a new family please remind them to mark your name
on their registration form.
Information Packets - We will be sending home folders with each family during the first week of classes
including a handbook, September Newsletter, birthday party form & studio logowear order form. Any
information that might be useful will be in the handbook including studio closings, snow closing info, recital
dates & instructions, Prince Charming's Ball date, recital picture dates, tuition info, special dress up days,
etc. Please see us if you have any questions regarding any of the information provided. It is a lot of
information to take in but should provide you with a pretty good guideline over the next 9 months.
